Fortunately for people who have warts, the treatments based on surgical intervention do not represent the only therapy. There are many home remedies for wart removal that prove to be effective. Even though there are more than 100 types of warts (out of which 30 are sexually transmitted), the home remedies bring results for most of them.
If you’ve got warts you want removed then you’ve probably already found out about the usual methods of getting rid of them; such as freezing them off. I’m not sure if it’s an "Urban Myth" but there are plenty of stories about how to use duct tape to remove warts. Apparently you have to apply the duct tape and leave it on for some weeks which causes irritation (not surprising) and the body’s defences attack and destroy the offending wart. If it works at all it’s said to take months!
Apply a piece of duct tape to the wart, ensuring that the entire wart is covered. Do not remove it for at least a week unless it comes off on its own. If it does, apply another piece. At the end of one week, soak in warm water for ten to fifteen minutes and remove the duct tape. File the wart with an Emory board or pumice stone. Apply a new piece of duct tape and leave on for another week. Repeat this process for as long as necessary.
Tired seeing your ugly warts every morning you wake up or any accidental moment that you would be staring at it? Though warts may disappear by itself, other people still want to remove it immediately because warts are embarrassing to have. It may also be one of the roots of our insecurities. And because of that attitude, wanting to take off immediately their warts, there are lots of home remedies for wart removal that may try any minute or seconds, whenever patients want to.
One of the most common ways to fight warts is to improve the immune system. This can be done by consuming foods rich in vitamin C. Oranges and other citrus fruits are able to provide the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. The spinach is yet another important source. Taking natural supplements that contain vitamin C is also a viable solution. A dose that ranges between 1 and 5 grams proves to be very effective, even though this exceeds the recommended daily allowance which is of 60 grams.
Depending on the natural wart removal remedy that you choose, it may be much cheaper than your other options. Consider the co-pays and deductibles that you rack up every time you walk into the doctors office now. You may even find that your health insurance will not cover wart removal if they feel it is a cosmetic procedure. Natural wart removal remedies are easy to obtain and much cheaper. Why not give them a try before proceeding with more expensive options?
